Why we built AssessHub

Professional fire risk assessment is judgement work — walking a building, reading its risks, deciding what matters. Yet most assessors spend as many hours at a desk converting notes and photos into reports as they do on site. That time is pure overhead: it doesn't make anyone safer, and it caps how many buildings a competent assessor can cover.

AssessHub was developed hands-on with practising UK assessors, shaped assessment by assessment on real commercial and residential portfolios. The methodology stays rigorous and familiar — PAS 79-structured, evidence-first, QC before issue — while the mechanical work of drafting, matching photos and assembling documents happens in seconds instead of evenings.

Fire is where we started — fire risk assessments and fire door inspections — but the platform is built for professional assessment work of any kind, and further assessment types are on the roadmap.

What we believe

• Judgement is human

  AI drafts wording; it never decides. Ratings, findings and sign-off belong to the competent person, and the tool keeps that boundary explicit.

• Evidence is everything

  A defensible report ties every recommendation to a checklist reference, a location and a photograph. The workflow enforces the chain rather than hoping for it.

• Field conditions are real conditions

  Basements have no signal. Batteries die. Software for assessors has to work offline and recover gracefully — so AssessHub does.

• Accountability builds trust

  Named users, MFA on every seat, a two-device session limit and a complete audit trail — because your reports may one day be read in court.
