How often do fire doors have to be inspected?
Under Regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, responsible persons for residential buildings above 11 metres in height must check communal fire doors at least every three months and use best endeavours to check flat entrance doors at least every 12 months. Other premises are governed by the general duty in Article 17 of the Fire Safety Order to keep fire doors in efficient working order, with BS 9999 recommending routine inspection at least every six months.
Can several inspectors work on the same survey at once?
